So today is the royal wedding!!!!!!!
I was up at 6 am. I wore a fascinator.
But for the first time ever, I did a sew along. McCalls Pattern Company hosted a Royal wedding sew along.
I did a Butterick pattern-b5850. I ended up having to change the fabric from brocade because it was too stiff. I used the brocade to make a trench coat k4197.
I ended up not being as in love with either pattern as I thought I would be. But oh well! It was a learning experience.
Here are some pictures.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever wear either again, but….
I was having a little too much fun with my new selfie stick!
My mother wanted a red and white polka dot sundress for Mother’s Day. She, like myself, has a difficult time finding dresses that fit at the top properly. I found a Vogue sundress pattern with adjustable cup sizing.
I had to drive an hour away from my house to find the fabric. But not the end she was happy with it. I was a little bit nervous because I had to grade from the bust to the waist. I’ve never done that before. But all was well. I’m still waiting for the “final” picture from my mom. But here is what I have thus far.
Today was such a dismal day, that I thought I needed a pick me up. I finished this blouse weeks ago. I forgot to wear it.
Joann fabrics had a sale on Vogue and McCall patterns. So guess what I picked up? The Vogue walkaway dress! I’m so excited! I also picked up a pantsuit! Anyway here they are!!
Every time I see, at some point my dog wants to stand on whatever it is I’m cutting out. Sometimes he will lay down on it.
It’s a good thing he’s cute! His name is Bumpersnoot.
